How To Prepare For Sonography

– Fasting: For abdominal ultrasounds, you may be asked not to eat or drink for several hours before the test.
– Full Bladder: For pelvic or abdominal ultrasounds, drinking water and maintaining a full bladder is often required for better imaging.
– Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You might need to change into a gown during the procedure.
– Jewelry: Remove jewelry or other metallic objects from the area being examined.
– Inform the Technician: Inform the ultrasound technician about any relevant medical conditions or previous surgeries.
– Relaxation: Stay calm and relaxed during the procedure to enhance the quality of the images.”
